COVID Protocols & Winter Operations

Our Commitment to Health & Safety

The ski resorts of Canada have joined forces to create a guide to safety in the mountains this winter. Check out Ski Well Be Well before you hit the road.

On February 5 2021, British Columbia extended province-wide restrictions and enhanced health measures. Social gatherings continue to be limited to just those in your immediate household (up to a max of six when dining out). An advisory continues to be in place recommending against all non-essential travel. We ask that everyone planning to head to the mountains, read and understand the latest BC Provincial Health advice before making any decisions about travel. You can find complete information about these orders and directives, here

Our team has worked incredibly hard to make the season happen. Thanks for skiing close to home, sticking to your immediate household and for helping us to remain COVID safe.

Please do not visit Panorama if you or someone in your household is showing symptoms of COVID-19 or are feeling generally unwell. Please use the BC COVID-19 Self Assessment tool or call HealthLink BC on 811 for COVID related advice.

The Essentials
  • Masks are mandatory in all resort public indoor areas and specific outdoor zones (see mask up maps below). No exceptions.
  • Lift tickets must be purchased online or by phone. Lift tickets will not be sold at the resort unless part of an external program.
  • Events and social gatherings are restricted under the current health order.
  • Our restaurants, cafes and bars are operating at reduced capacity and hours under the current health order.
  • We are not planning a reservations system for Season Passholders, SNOW+ Card holders or parking at this time.
  • Wee Wascals Childcare will be closed this winter.
New Health & Safety Signage and Mask Mandatory Maps

Some outdoor spaces require you to wear a mask or face covering. Please expect to see new health & safety and Face Covering mandatory signage around the village. We kindly ask that you familiarize yourself with these signs and maps, and follow their instructions while visiting.

Who makes the decisions regarding operations this coming winter?

Panorama is an independently owned and operated resort. Our management team lives in BC’s Columbia Valley and have their boots in snow every day. Our plan is guided by federal and provincial guidelines and best practices, agencies like Interior Health and associations like the CWSAA (Canada West Ski Areas Association). We also stay in close contact with resort operators around the world and sincerely thank our colleagues in Australia and New Zealand for sharing learnings from the Southern Hemisphere winter. They’ve already experienced what we are about to.

Who will make sure the rules are followed?

We are in this together. Our team will follow the guidelines set out in our operating plan and protocols and we expect you to do the same. You're at the resort to relax and have fun. If everyone follows the rules, then we'll avoid unpleasant discussions and ensure that our season is a long one.

Everything is subject to change.

When it comes to the Covid-19 pandemic, each day comes with new announcements, policies, guidelines, or unexpected situations. Know that we’ll do all we can to ensure you have a fantastic winter experience, while placing absolute priority on the health and safety of our community. Things can and probably will change; we’ll be sure to let you know if they do.
